Swallow-tailed Kite (Elanoides forficatus)

Order: BIRDS OF PREY (ACCIPITRIFORMES ORDER)
Family: KITES, EAGLES AND HAWKS (ACCIPITRIDAE)

Included in ABA Region.


Usually common in rivers and lakes where its warm and humid enough to have insects carried higher by the wind, . Seen noon till end of day, flying in circles hunting insects. , They can get close with luck, definitely not shy, Raptors usually do not respond to calls.
