Clapper Rail (Rallus crepitans)

Family: RAILS AND COOTS (RALLIDAE)

Included in ABA Region.


Saw it in Texas marshes, as its range is in the eastern side of North America, . Best time to see them is early morning and possibly before sunset. They are secretive and tough to spot, Best way to photograph them is from a car to stay hidden, They do respond to calls, which is a way to spot their location.
