Black Francolin (Francolinus francolinus)

Family: PHEASANTS, GROUSE AND RELATIVES (PHASIANIDAE)

Included in ABA Region.


This species came from Middle East and Asia, introduced to Hawaii, saw them in open space grass land outside preserves. Best time to see them is early morning and possibly before sunset. They are somewhat secretive, they will run fast once spotted, Best way to photograph them is from a car to stay hidden, .
